The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before February 8 (Scouting Anniversary Day) as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting. Observing Scout Sunday falls under the Scout Law A Scout is Reverent and the Scout Oath Duty to God.
Hilliard Presbyterian Church is the charter organization for Troop 418. As an expression of appreciation to our charter organization and to observe Scout Sunday, the troop is asking for members to attend and sit together as a troop and help volunteer (hand out church bulletins) at the Sunday, February 4th, 10 AM Worship at the church. Please wear your full Class A uniform and sash.
Troop 418 respects the various religious faiths represented within the troop and understand if you are unable to participate. However, building a strong relationship with our charter organization and instilling the virtue of reverence and religious pluralism is a core to the Boy Scouts movement. We hope you can participate.
